WHO WE ARE

WHERE GOD TRANSFORMS CHILDREN OF WAR INTO CHILDREN OF HOPE.

  • Orphans in former IDP camps in Northern Uganda in 2006

    Uganda and The LRA

The Lord’s Resistance Army, perpetrated more than 20 years of war in Northern Uganda, abducting children and forcing them to become soldiers or sex slaves. The ripple effects of the brutal conflict continues to impact the region today.

    Our Story

In Northern Uganda, Rose Aber was praying, “God, send us someone to help.” In the US, Cindy Cunningham was praying, “God, what do you want me to do?” Out of their prayers, He brought these two women together to birth Village of Hope Uganda.

Our Mission

Compelled by God’s love, Village of Hope Uganda provides safe homes, education, trauma counseling and spiritual guidance for former child soldiers and children orphaned through the effects of war and poverty.

Our Vision

By the transforming work of Jesus, Village of Hope Uganda orphans will grow into self-sustaining, Godly ethical leaders in their communities and country.

“i would see miracles happening before my eyes that i couldn’t explain”
