About the Author
Cindy Cunningham, the Founder and Director of Village of Hope Uganda, has ministered to children, teens and adults for over 40 years. She previously served at Josh McDowell Ministries, African Leadership and Reconciliation Ministries (ALARM), and Youth for Christ. She has traveled and served countries around the world, including Japan, Russia, Romania, Belarus, Congo, Sudan, Rwanda, Kenya and Uganda.
With a fervent passion and calling, Cindy founded Village of Hope to help abandoned orphans, vulnerable women and children traumatized by war find HOPE…hope experienced through having a home, an education, skills training, pastoral and medical care, discipleship, trauma counseling, micro-economic opportunities and most importantly, the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
Cindy speaks on behalf of Village of Hope to churches, organizations and donors across the U.S. She visits Uganda 2-3 times a year to encourage the staff and leadership, plan strategic projects, manage programs and host mission teams. Cindy has served as Founder and Executive Director at VOH since its inception in 2007.
