Rose is our National Director for Village of Hope. But she is more than a position or a job. She is the heart of our ministry and my sister (in Christ). I am so thankful to be able to work along side of her for the sake of our children. There is NOTHING this woman wouldn’t do for them. Her life is a celebration of God’s goodness, no matter how difficult things may be for her. She is my hero!
We were talking (besides hugging kids, this is my favorite thing to do) and this is what she shared with me….
“During the war, every morning that we opened our eyes and were still alive, we were thankful. Life IS fragile. Children would return to the Trauma Center (run by World Vision) and we were so happy and thanked God to see them, because they were not killed during the night, nor had they been abducted. We were thankful for each day.”
Each day is a gift from God. We must ask ourselves every morning, “What will I choose to do with this day that YOU have given me? Will I choose to focus on the negative or celebrate all YOU have done and are doing?”
God has shown me this fact through 4 brain surgeries. We must choose joy, and keep choosing it. Sometimes we can learn the most about God from situations we understand the least. My dear friends, may we never forget the faithfulness of the Lord, for GREAT is His faithfulness.
“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;great is your faithfulness.”
