Mission Statement

Compelled by a God-centered heart for orphans, Village of Hope (VOH) rescues the lives of former child soldiers, sex slaves and their younger siblings orphaned by war. VOH provides a safe haven for healing and hope for a future. Our approached is designed to prepare and inspire VOH young men and women to become productive citizens, ethical leaders and beacons for Christ within their communities and country.

This is accomplished by our outreach ministries of food, education, counseling and micro-economic projects in nearby Gulu’s former IDP camps. Two residential Villages of Hope provide loving homes, physical and spiritual support, medical services, onsite schools/vocational training and solutions and systemic poverty and hopelessness among Uganda’s most vulnerable children.

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,”declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

But just who are the kids at the Village of Hope and where did they come from?

Our Vision

Where God transforms children of war into children of hope. Once healed, educated and self-sustaining, our desire is for them to bring change to their community and country.

Isaiah 1:17 “Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless”

Our Partners

By networking with organizations, churches, families, schools and individuals in America who desire to work together for the sake of the children. We can do more together than any of us can do on our own.
