Why does this website exist?

Hopefully all those questions can be answered right here. Look through the links on the menu above and browse around. We’ve included a history of Uganda and the LRA. We’ve included both general descriptions to the types of horrors and difficulties these children have faced, and we’ve even shared a few of their individual stories.

Once you’ve read through the information we’ve provided here, we hope you’ll share our passion to provide hope and a future for these children. If so, there are many ways you can get involved, and we’ve provided all the ways you can be a part of the solution.

Mission Statement

To help the helpless in Africa, to bring safety to children who don’t have safety, to provide shelter to the homeless and food to the hungry.

Our Vision

To build villages (communities) of hope for orphans and widows, where children can live with their siblings in safety. Where they can go to school and learn how to help themselves and their communities. To provide them with the basics of life: food, shelter, safety, education, skill training, love and hope.

Village of Hope takes a holistic approach when helping the children and widows of Africa.
Physical: providing food, shelter, safety, medical aid
Emotional: providing trauma counseling and education
Spiritual: offering spiritual hope and healing through Jesus Christ
